This present volume aims to introduce selected portions of the author's recent research to English-speaking readers. Part One focuses on the City of Rheims, the streets and the houses where the Founder lived, and the property on the Rue Neuve/Rue de Contrai where the Institute may be said to have had its birth and where the Brothers conduct a school to this day. Part Two is intended to supply some detailed background on the social situation in seventeenth century France. Part Three is a list of dates and events.
