Is a set of 12 books, which in totality gives vital information on about 3250 species belonging to 27 groups of Philippine Flora and Fauna. Each volume describes the species of plants and animals in terms of their salient biological features, and whenever possible, provide information on their habitat, geographical distribution, ecological status, and economic importance. The identification of each species starts with its scientific name, followed by its common and vernacular names when such are found. Most of the species described are illustrated with scaled-down line drawings or black and white colored photographs. A glossary of technical terms used in the description is also found at the end of each section.
