This Directory is aimed at providing the different publics of higher education a reference in summary form. It contains an updated profile of public and private educational institutions offering college-level courses in the country. The entries to this Edition are arranged in alphabetical order to allow users more ease and convenience, and to make the directory a handy reference. They are based on data received from higher education institutions all over the Philippines as of the start of the calendar year 1993. In addition, a table and a list of higher education institutions arranged for specific purposes are included as appendices: Distribution of Higher Education by Region and Taxonomy 1993 (Appendix A) and List of Higher Education Institutions by region and Taxonomy 1993 (Appendix B).
