This two-volume dictionary contains 43, 338 vernacular and common plant names as spoken by 97 languages and dialects in the country. Also included are selected English and Spanish plant names. There are 10, 267 scientific names, 2050 genera, and 297 families cited in the book. Volume I is an alphabetical listing of the local plant names and their corresponding scientific names. Volume II is a cross-reference of the first part of the dictionary and consists of alphabetically arranged scientific names and their corresponding local name(s). It starts with the names of genus followed by the name of the author and the family where the genus belongs.
