Bibliography of completed social science research projects 1976-1981.

Another output of the research project entitled National Social Science Research Capacity in the Philippines is the Bibliography of Social Science Research Projects completed during the period 1976-1981. The bibliography is composed of two parts: Research Projects and These/Dissertations. Most of the data in Part I are actual responses from the survey questionnaire. On the other hand, in order to have a more complete listing Part II, secondary data gathering was conducted in libraries of research institutions, universities, and colleges within Metro Manila. Libraries outside Metro Manila were requested to submit their bibliographies of completed research in social science. Like the Directory of Social Scientists in the Philippines the Bibliography covers the thirteen disciplines PSSC currently serves, with "others" constituting the last part. Both published and unpublished works are included in the list. Entries are arranged alphabetically for each of the thirteen disciplines. With the Bibliography, professionals and students alike have a voluminous array of reference materials to choose from. Not only can we able to assess the current level of social science research capacity in the Philippines but we can also determine its thrust and current trends as well as gain insights as to which areas need deeper or more extensive study. --From the introduction
