This book entitled "Gaddang of Isabela", is a project of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to provide the reader's knowledge about the indigenous people and community in Isabela which known to be Gaddang. Gaddang's were mentioned to be present as early as 1600 in the Spanish historical accounts of Luzon. This book tackles Gaddang's land territory, people, community celebrations, attires, adornments and accessories. They have great interest in farming as a source of their income and when it comes to social organizations the family type among Gaddang's were nuclear and extended. In their religious life Gaddang's were still earthbound with a vague idea about afterlife and believe ancestral spirits like "Karurua". They have also different kind of ceremonies and rituals like life cycle rituals, courtship and marriage rituals, wedding rituals, pregnancy and child delivery rituals, infant ritual, children healing ritual, travel ritual, healing power ritual and death rituals.
