Due to the many new issuances of Revenue Regulations, BIR Rulings, Revenue Memorandum Circulars, and Supreme Court decisions, the authors urgently revised this book, TRANSFER AND BUSINESS TAXATION, to its 7th edition. This book is designed as a textbook in the course Transfer and Business Taxation covering the comprehensive topics included in the CPA and Bar Examinations. This book can also be used as an easy reference of tax students and tax practitioners to address their tax concerns. The topics, discussions, explanations and materials included in this book are aimed to present the clearest, most logical and most reliable interpretations of the issues on Transfer and Business Taxes. Materials in this book are classroom tested, logically arranged, improved and comprehensive aided with illustrations and diagrams to facilitate the students' understanding and learning. The NIRC (R.A. 8424) and new amendments, the Court of Tax Appeals and Supreme Court Decisions, latest Revenue Regulations, BIR Rulings, and Revenue Memorandum Circulars are adequately used as authoritative sources to support the authors' discussions, illustrations, explanations, and interpretations. At the end of the chapter, the authors prepared adequate review questions and problems to facilitate teaching preparations and assess the students' understanding and progress about the subject matter.
