Our country is also vulnerable to natural disasters and drastic weather changes from earthquakes, typhoons, landslide dry spells and volcanic eruption. These phenomena pose grave danger to people's lives. Amidst the call for better disaster preparedness, risk reduction starts before an earthquake happens or typhoon arrives. Given the scenario, disasters are bound to happen, we therefore need to build our resilience to disaster for a much safer environment for people to live in. communication and early warning is a vital mechanism to the changes posed by various natural disasters, adaptation and mitigation.
