520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Covers the entire scope of the biological control science and application. Deals with certain aspects of science derived from biological control research as well as concerns on the detailed discussion of many agents and practices that form the operational characterisitcs of biological control. Chapter 2 states that the principal aim of biological control is the reduction of negative impact of pest species, including both pest suppression and pest regulation. Chapter 4 illustrates a methodology for studying natural-enemy species and biotypes with reference to their ecological capabilities and roles in managed and natural settings. Chapter 6 states that the principal function of the biological control quarantine operation is to furnish a safe area and competent staff to screen incoming material to exclude unwanted organism and determine the identities and biologies of those desired to be propagated and colonized
