It features buildings designed and built after the World War II up to the late 1970s. Included in the chapters are the following: name and profile of the architect, a brief history of the structure, its cultural and historical significance and a discussion of the building's architectural design. The book concludes with a call for a focused research on the historical development of Philippine Architecture and encourages architects to 'renovate, upgrade or redesign' local structures to reflect Filipino values and customs, while recognizing and considering the country's topography.
