| Summary, etc. | The Land of the Spoonclunkers is described by Michael Adams as "a philosophical argument concerning the nature of the individual as against that of the collective mass" set against the backdrop of a love affair, political intrigue, and murder. This novel is the first part of a trilogy, and Adams views its philosophical conclusion as temporary in nature, with further twists and turns to be anticipated in the second and third parts of the work. The second part of the trilogy, "Notes for Thirteen Seductions," is expected to be published in late 1987, with the conclusion, "The Last of The Platescrapers," to follow in 1989. --From the book cover |
