Summary, etc. This study focused on analyzing and identifying the HRM practices of the top cooperatives located in the Calabarzon area. The analysis was conducted in the 16 cooperatives included in the top-25 noncommunity cooperatives indicated in the Cooperative Business Directory for 1998. It also focused on the effects of the HRM practices of the cooperatives on the following business outcomes, namely: volume of transaction, asset size and increase in members' equity. Data were gathered with the use of survey questionnaires. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) the cooperatives included in the study are all mature and stable
