The cardinal objective of this book is to facilitate preparation for the Civil Engineering examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Since this book includes complete discussion on the principles of civil engineering, this may also serve as a guide to the engineering undergraduates. The book is divided into six parts. Each part presents the formulas and principles involved followed by sets of questions arranged according to topics. Each set contains 30 to 60 questions followed by an answer key and detailed solution to each problems presented on each set. Each step in the solution is carefully explained to ensure that it will be readily understood. Some problems are even solved in several methods to give the reader a choice on the type of solution he may adopt.
