The manual is designed for for students pursuing engineering curriculum. There are fourty lab exercises, thirty-three of which are suitable for outdoor and seven are designed for indoor or classroom exercises.The first twenty one lab exercises are suitable for engineering students as well as for students of architecture,forestry,agriculture, geography. The remaining lab exercises cover topographic and hydrographic surveying are for students pursuing higher or advanced program in surveying. The indoor lab exercises are given to students to give them chance to simulate the type of office computations and drafting work that surveyors and engineers do as far as surveying operations are concerned.The indoor lab exercises are useful substitutes especially during inclement weather conditions when outdoor field work could not be performed. --RVP
