This second edition of Polygraphy: The Art and Science of Lie Detection (A Basic Course Module in Polygraph Examination) is an enhanced version of the first edition. In particular, we added a discussion about the future of polygraph examination extracted from the thinking of subject matter experts in this field. We have as well developed a Laboratory Manual in Polygraphy separately produced, but part of this version. We reiterate that the preparation of this book was made in response to the call of many Schools of Criminology in the Philippines with regard to the specialized courses in Criminology - Criminalistics, one of which is the subject Polygraphy/Lie Detection. These schools are lacking the appropriate references and library resources in the said subject with the exception of a few foreign literatures. However, the underlying principles of polygraph testing were presented in a reader-friendly approach so that the students can easily comprehend the lessons. The Questions and Answer portion remained unchanged as a reviewer for the licensure examination. The laboratory module templates were taken away from this edition to pave the path for the new Laboratory Manual in Polygraph. --About the book.
