Welcome to your first dictionary-caton of the Ivatan language. This book will help you read, write, and speak in your mother tongue. Filipino and English will also be introduces to you slowly over the next three years. You will find in this book an introduction to the Ivatan alphabet, and exercises in writing and reading simple words and phrases. You will also learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in mathematics. As much as possible we have pictures to accompany each word, so that you may easily learn more vocabulary. You will also find riddles, songs, dialogues, and stories that will teach you how to live happily with your classmates, elders, and family. Ask your parents to read some of the inspiring stories.
