This book analyzes how labor laws in the Philippines are formulated and implemented. The historical periods covered by Dr. Villegas span the American colonial regime to the present Aquino government. This study seeks to arouse interest among researchers in the methodology of political economy which shows how the material conditions of man can determine their forms of consciousness as expressed, for instance in the laws of societies.
