A dictionary that, in their own words, 1) focuses on scientific terms commonly used in science classes, 2) is heavily illustrated, and 3) gives example. In short, what is needed is a dictionary of scientific terms useful to Filipino students. The choice of words included in the Dictionary is therefore based on the frequency of use in science textbooks and resource materials adopted by Philippine schools. However, tertiary students and the non-science professionals may also found this volume as a good reference tool. The reader will find that each entry has a clear, concise definition usually accompanied by an extended explanation, appropriate examples, and a labeled illustration. Cross references to definition, illustration, or examples, found elsewhere in the Dictionary is resorted to in cases where the term defined can be further explained or otherwise made clear.
