This handbook brings together scientific reports on twenty-five Philippine languages that have hiherto remained inaccessible to the general reading public. In the first three introductory chapters composing part I. the author presents the historical and linguistic backgrounds necessary to understand the detailed descriptions of the language group concerned. In Part 2 comprising 25 chapters on the language groups a location map of each language communication is include as well as a bibliographical listing of suggested further readings of each group.
