Combines all of De La Salle's meditations in one volume for the first time. Written at various times in his life, these little meditations were intended to serve as points for the Brothers to consider in their daily prayer. Though reflecting the sometimes rigorous ideals and practices of the French School of Spirituality, they offer interesting insights into the value system of the Founder, and serve as wonderful guideposts to anyone in the ministry of education. Accompanying commentaries form an excellent backdrop to the historical period and to the meditations themselves.
