This book puts forward a deep and original study of the thought and actions of Saint John Baptist de la Salle. The authors shows with abundant clarity how the conduct schools links the spiritual and the secular, which means that La Salle's pedagogy is not only the pedagogy of a Christian, but a Christian pedagogy in the fullest sense of the term. He also shows especially the position of the illustrious priest of Rheims in regard to pedagogy and practices current in his day, and he notes especially the increasing attention and vigilant care that he brought to the formation of his teachers
