This book summarizes and collates together information about different aspects of 19TH and early 20th centuries collectible antiques such as furniture, jewelry, painting, religious sculpture, costumes, kitchenware and ceramics. It also describes imported collectibles that local writers have not yet touched on, for example, toys, bibelots, lamps, or vintage phonographs. In writing the book, the author interweaves anecdotes, stories and little known facts into those inevitable enumerations. At the book's end, she suggested how to make antiques become useful and functional.
