This volume covers five holometelabous orders, namely: neuroptera, strepsitera, siphonaptera, trichoptera and diptera. Review of literature is through 1985-1986. This inventory will be the basic source of information for future researches on Philippine insects. It is, in fact the first attempt by Filipinos to collate data from widely scattered publications and in different languages. It is hoped that systematic studies on Philippine insects will forge ahead with more vigorous participation of our local workers.
