The first part covers assessment of single language skills such as reading and writing .This is followed by a section containing reviews of different methods of testing such as integrated testing, performance testing , and the testing of the assessment of the linguistic proficiency of children ,are followed by ones on self-assessment ,aptitude testing and the assessment of speech and language disorders . The third part of the volume discusses methods of validating tests using qualitative or quantitative methods , and the final part addresses the ethics and effects of testing and assessment .
