This book is the earliest complete biography of St. John Baptist De La Salle presented to the English speaking world, with the hope that it may contribute to making the founder of the Christian Brothers better known and appreciated. The author who is a nephew of St. John Baptist De La Salle, first wrote the life of the founder of the Christian Brothers in 1723, within 4 years of the saints death. He used his personal knowledge of his uncle and the notes written by the early Brothers of their recollections of their founder as his sources in writing.
