The progress of the revolution must be seen as the unfolding of the visions of our heroes...what the resolved to become in the future. When a person has a vision of the future, that vision affects and directs his life today. Many of the visions of our heroes ought to be a part of our collective memory... Our remembering of the Filipino revolution and of our heroes' visions enriches our collective memory, strengthens our nationhood and enables us to build that good society in which we have liberty amidst order and order amidst liberty.
