Summary: This book compiles cultural icons which are uniquely Filipino and which distinguish us from the other nations. These Filipino cultural icons were adopted and enriched through the years. For purposes of practical classifications, the author divide these cultural icons into several categories: a) material objects or objects from nature b) food and beverage/drinks c) tourist destinations d)cultural practices or traditions and e) personalities. For the last section, prominent individual Filipinos offer their own choices for the cultural icons which they believe best represent the average, typical Filipino. To satisfy the visual needs of the reader, the author provides colored photographs and illustrations.
