Summary: Filipino Muslims and Christians have pursued peace through attempts to understand what makes them different from one another. This book presents a fresh perspective by using communication as the disciplinary framework and highlighting commonalities. Previous studies have focused on the political, economic, and social environment and its effect on behavior and attitudes. This book is a "first" in the sense that it examines the tenets found in religion and culture which in fact are basic and fundamental. Thus, the papers drew heavily from the Bible, the Qur'an, and the 1987 Constitution as well as from early historical accounts and teachings of Muslim and Christian scholars.
