Blaan became mountain dwellers in the very recent past, maybe less than 300 years earlier. The Blaans are definitely not highlands dwellers, contrary to the claim of recent writers. The Blaans have terminologies for water-related features. The Blaan's presence in the mountains was the result of later migration. The Blaans are best known to have dominated that vast plain popularly known as the Koronadal Valley. The Blaan domain is the biggest among the ethnic groups of Southern Mindanao. --Cover of the Book.
