Claro M.Recto. (taken from the introduction to the book.) First published in 1959, this book contains poems both lyrical and, at the same time, unabashedly passionate. In them, Nina Estrada expres sed desires and sorrows all too often suppressed by women of her time. The accompanying illustrations are original works by National Artist Vicente Manansala created exclusively for this book. An advocate of formal structure, the poetess presents in this collection her own variation of unitary structure of the sonnet.
