Summary: Maranao Children's Rhyme, Jingles and songs consists of collections and translations by members of the Folklore Division staff of the Mamitua Saber Research Center (formerly the University Research Center) of Mindanao State University, Marawi City. The 118 rhymes and jingles in this collection are not just recited - most are chanted, in the tradition of all Maranao poetry which is always chanted. We have placed together different versions of the same rhyme/jingle to show how the variations come through from different locations in Lanao. There is also the shorter version, for small childrem who lisp or jumble the lines. --Introduction of the book.
