This book endeavors to portray the neo-colonial setting in which a dictatorship has emerged in the Philippines, the role of the Philippine society. It seeks to describe the national liberation movement that has fought both colonialism and neo-colonialism, and the problems of liberation today, In general, it aims at illuminating a situation that has all the ingredients of another confrontation in the same part of the world where the Vietnam war occurred, between a people seeking freedom and a United States trying to perpetuate a grip on their country.
