Most of these were half truths, some pure canards, but it does prove one point: JEI is very much an artist, and adventurer, and a lover life. His writing is not Hemmingway, it is pure Eddi: his acting is not Richard Basehart's: it is Eddie's. And by my standards, Eddie's is good anytime, on any stage, in any film, in any reason. --Back cover of the book.
