The effort to provide this Bibliography arises from the desire to make the Conference of Asean Writers on 1st. Until 3rd of December, 1977. This indirect bibliography aims to find out roughly the creative works of the Asean countries found in Libraries in Malaysia. The process of documenting the literature of each Asean nation with its complete, will certainly experience some language problems. Thus the Bibliography is only a starting point to explore the literary state of Asean countries. Hopefully by mutual understanding of the literary situation in every Asean country, it can be fostered efforts to achieve 'Asean understanding through literature'. --From the introduction
