This work, as a preliminary checklist of rare serial titles available in the Filipiniana and Asia Division of the National Library, is intended to guide scholars and researchers. The titles were gathered from various sections namely: the Serial, the Rare Book, the Manuscript and the Microform Section. The checklist which includes 271 rare serial titles (magazines and journals, newspapers, provincial newspapers, journals and school publications) covers the period 1811 to 1944. A separate list of non-periodical materials (clippings and indexes) which is also a part of the collection, has been provided for. Entries are arranged alphabetically by erial title. Original and microfilm copies available have been included. --Preface of the book.
