Awaiting Trespass is a pasion (pasyon) - traditionally, a lengthy, chanted chronicle of agonies - set in the Philippines, 1981. The agonies in the novel are those of a nation and of a family, the result of usurpations that have turned Filipinos into exiles in their own country.
