Kasama connotes, too, a commitment to serve the interests of the people above all else, and this is why we found it appropriate as the title of this book. Kasama is the first serious effort to document through the medium of photography various aspects of the guerilla war being waged by the New People's Armay (NPA) since 1969 up to the present. It highlights the activities of NPA guerillas in the different regions of the Philippines as they undertake military, political and productive work in the rural areas. --From the preface
