A very appropriate title for my treasured collection of poems : "Poetry ... in Still Life." "Poetry" is LIFE in itself -- my life ... the spur-of-the-moment, fleeting ideas ... the whimsical second thoughts ... the glittering glimpses on moments of truth ... the cursory glances on wavering emotions ... the spontaneous overpowering, eurhythmical sentiments. Of course, these plus or minus the oddities and inanities (for to a certain extent, we all are eccentric). "... in Still Life" connotes something in which figures are caught in careful needlepoint. As in graphic arts, it is concerned with inanimate objects as subject matter. --Introduction of the book.
