Attempts to enumerate several of the world's most interesting islands. Distinguishes distinct traits of each island. Declared that islanders tend to be proud of their homeland and somewhat insular in nature: people on the Isle of Wight nver felt the need to visit the mainland Britain, as in Cofu, Sicily and Sardinia. whose inhabitants never set foot t the mainland of their own countries. Unique cultures were also cited to have arisen in some isalnds like in Andaman isalnds where islanders attacked a helicopter with bows and arrows when it flew over after the tsunami, or in Dani where villagers accept dollars from tourists. Other islands like the Antartic islands and East Timor are politically important and become centers of geo-political wraggles because of the oil and gas that lie beneath the surrounding seas. It was also found out that some islands are dedicated to relgion, others in money and wealth like in Carribean, island of Manhattan and Bali.
