Summary: Dr. Danilo S. Gutierrez is currently Professor 2 in the College Department of Arts, Sciences, Education, and Technology at the De La Salle-Araneta University teaching Measurement and Evaluation for four years and Professorial Lecturer in the Graduate School in the same university handling such courses as Evaluation of Learning Environment and Modern Theories and Research on Educational Administration and Supervision. He is considered an excellent professor by his students who have given him outstanding ratings for two consecutive years. Dr. Gutierrez received his Master of Arts in Education degree (government scholar) from the Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Special Education (Teaching the Gifted) in 1984 and his Doctor of Philosophy degree (meritissimus) in Educational Management from De La Salle-Araneta University in 2002. He also took special courses in Test Construction, Language Testing, and Psychometrics from the PNU. As a researcher, he developed a Test on Critical Thinking for Grade Six Pupils as part of his master's thesis for which he obtained the Francisco C. Tan's scholarship grant in thesis writing. He also developed the following instruments as part of his dissertation: Questionnaire onLevel of Ethical Decisions of Practices of Elementary School Principals, and Questionnaire on Level of Cultural Tendencies which obtained high reliability coefficients (+0.97, +0.99, and +0.73 respectively). As an outstanding citizen of the City of Valenzuela, Dr. Gutierrez is a recipient of Dr. Pio Valenzuela Memorial Award for Professions in 2000.
