Pagsasatubuanan Poetikang Bikolnon tries to dissect the present forms of poetry in Bicol and trace their origins and influences. Chancoco, who hails from Iriga City, defines in metaphor "Pagsasatubuanan" (from the Iriganon root word "tubuanan") as "the first sprout from a pole tree seedling found to be a favorite delicacy of the kadlagan (forest) -roaming kids and much sought after during rural soirees". In the foreword, Chancoco stated that "in the midst of hybridism, post-modernism and neocolonialism
