2) give greater weight to the genre as the most personal form of expression of architects-- independent of the pressure of implementation
3) save people from seeing the same sky and same figures in the same constructions of space repeated over and over again in daily architectural newsletters.
Basically, it presents outstanding hand drawings of German architecture and design. The focus is on the individual manuscripts of the architects and the designers. Likewise, it attempts to present all the possibilities of architectural drawings based on the German architecture scene of the past few decades. Many architects and architecture firms were chosen with the aim of offering the widest possible range of drawings in terms of function and style most especially their importance to contemporary architectural developments. Planning surveys and studies of exemplary architecture are presented made by professional architectural illustrators who work for various firms. Often these drawings are accompanied by photographs of the implemented building. Importantly, the book aims to: 1) encourage appreciation of the full value of architectural drawings
