This book features the best work of Sofronio Ylanan Mendoza (SYM). He is the founder of a school of artists known as Dimasalang Groups in Manila and Canada. In 1967, SYM bagged the First Prize in an on-the-spot painting competition sponsored by Shell Oil Company, which leads him to be known as a 'figurative painter".
