what is amazingly significant is that we see here how an accomplised writer like ERA still selflessly taking time out to show us with compassion - and evidence that these neglected writers of the past are indeed worthy of our esteem and pride as a people. For they and other writers in general provide us with the wisdom needed to enter again the halls of power - the best of which is the hall of memory, the power of the mind - in whose embrace we shall feel renewed and ever young again, and at home, because we are Filipinos.
