Summary: This is the third edition of authors' work on the fundamental principles concerning the New Civil Code provisions on Obligations and Contracts. The legal material has been revised and account has been taken of more recent decisions of the Supreme Court. Just like the previous edition, this work serves as an entry-level tool for those who study Business Law students.It contains basic rules and principles which are stated in a concise manner with simple examples. Sample accountancy Board examination questions are likewise provided for in the appendix. Timoteo B. Aquino is the author of several law books including Torts and Damages, Notes and Cases on Banks, Negotiable Instruments and other commercial documents, essentials of Insurance Law and Philippine Corporate Law Compendium. He is also the co-author of Reviewer on Commercial Law, Notes and Cases on the Law on Transportation and other Public Utilities, Fundamentals of Negotiable Instruments Law and the 1991 Revised Rules on Summary Procedure Revisited. Since 1989, he has been teaching law at various law schools, including the San Beda College of Law, University of Perpetual Help College of Law, Angeles University Foundation College of Law and Arellano Law Foundation. He was also the former Prefect of Student Affairs of the San Beda College of Law. SALVADOR E. AUSTRIA is a graduate of Foundation University College of Law in Dumaquete City, Negros Oriental. He has been a Lecturer in Foundation University College of Business, Economics and Accountancy since 1968 and a former Instructor at the Foundation University College of law. He is the co-author of another book on business law, Foundamentals of Negotiable Instruments Law. He was the former City Auditor of Cebu City and Dumaguete City and the former Provincial Auditor of Negros Oriental.
