Accounting for hotel and restaurant management and tourism industry / Bartolome R. Urbano.

Professor Bartolome R. Urbano, a Cetified Public Accountant, graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting from the university of the East Caloocan in 1984. He obtained his master's degree in Management at the Technological University of the Philippines in 2001. He is currently taking up a degree in Doctor of Business Administration at the University of the East-Manila. He has been teaching Accounting and Taxation at the University of the East-Caloocan as assistant professor, from 1993 up to the present. His years of teaching and practice gave him an opportunity to enrich and develop himself as an author. He attended various seminars, conferences, and symposia as a teacher and practitioner from the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education-sponsored activities in different parts of the country, including the professional training provided by the different universities, which makes him more eligible to educate the young minds attuned with the fast-changing profession and related fields. He served as chairman of the Department of Business Law and Taxation and the Departmental Examinations of UE Caloocan. He also worked as an accountant and internal auditor in differentcompanies in Metro Manila. His first published work is entitled Income Taxation Made Available by C & E Publishing Corporation in 2009. At present, Professor Urbano is concentrating on writing more books in accounting and related courses. This book is designed to inculcate the foundation pf Basic Accounting to students of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism.
