Summary: Dr. Reynaldo A. Padilla is a full-time professor at MAPUA Institute of Technology - IT Center, Makati City, teaching language and social science courses. He served as consultant of the Filipino Christian Living Department at the University of Perpetual Help Rizal, Las Piñas City, where he taught Philosophy, Social Science, Humanities, and Christian Living courses for eleven years. He taught Contemporary Moral Questions at the Graduate School of Education, De La Salle University (DLSU), Manila, and Christian Values Education at Benedictine Abbey School (now St. Benedict College), Muntinlupa City. For a year, he taught Theology courses at La Consolacion College, Mendiola, Manila, and at the DLSU-College of St. Benilde, Taft, Manila. He has been a part-time professor of Bioethics at San Carlos Seminary, Guadalupe, Makati City, and taught Ethics, Methods of Research, and Theology courses at St. Francis Major Seminary, Lipa City. He served as director of Diocesan Pastoral Formation Center, Lucena City, and for a year, as personnel manager of Italglass Corporation in Las Piñas City. A native of Candelaria, Quezon, the author finished his A.B.Philosophy, minor in English at St. Francis Major Seminary, Lipa City, in 1976. He studied a four-year Theology course at St. Alphonsus School of Theology, Lucena City (1980). He obtained his licentiate in Moral Theology, cum laude, from Adademia Alfonsiana, under the supervision of the Lateran University in Rome, Italy in 1984, and two years later, from the same higher institution of learning, he finished his doctorate in Sacred Theology, magna cum laude, with a dissertation on The Church and Christian Parents With Genetic Defects. He is now in the process of completing his second doctoral degree, a Ph.D. in Educational Management at the University of Perpetual Help Rizal.
