This is a book for all those individuals who find themselves asking the question, "What does it mean to be Lasallian?" This book provides the main story of De La Salle and the educational movement he continues to inspire today. Each book's sections, in order, speaks to the question of Lasallian identity. One cannot fully appreciate what Lasallian spirituality is like today without knowing who De La Salle was or what his educational vision looked like. The identity of De La Salle and the vision and practices he brought about enable us to understand and implement his charism here and now. The more we know about De La Salle and his ways, the more we will be able to speak about ourselves and our ways in terms that give substance to the adjective Lasallian.
