To say that the Big Book is still being written is to express a conservative opinion. But knowing Isagani R. Cruz, I am certain that the Big Book will never be written (though I would be delighted to be proven wrong)... He is, at core, a fervent believer with a simple faith in intersections. If one still insists that those intersections should be disciplined enough to emerge as 'The Big Book,' then let it be this book of 'Inter/Sections'; a festival of writings by mentors, colleagues, friends, and students -writing in honor of Isagani R.
