This book entitled "Kankanaey of Benguet", is a project of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to provide the reader's knowledge about the indigenous people and community in Benguet which known to be Kankanaey. This book tackles the life of the Kankanaey their land, people, origin, festivities, settlement pattern, material culture mainly their furniture and equipment. This book also educates the reader's about the Kankanaey's economic activities like fishing, farming, small - scale mining, weaving and pottery, trading, blacksmithing and hunting. The Kankanaey were also active in social organizations when it comes to family, reckoning relationships, marriage, political structures, leaders, powers, religion, the concept of god, cosmogony and beliefs. They have also a great love in the fields of dance, music and literature.
